Bike Racks

How am I going to transport this adaptive bicycle? â€‹This is a popular question when considering the purchase of an adaptive bike or trike. These bikes are often larger and heavier than typical bicycles and beyond the safe limits of most bicycle racks. If you are fortunate enough to have trails to ride near your home, you may not need to carry your bike anywhere to ride; but you will need to carry it to the bike shop for tune ups and repairs, or when you travel for vacation.

The best way to carry adaptive bicycles is inside a minivan or van or in the bed of a truck. But lifting these bikes can be difficult, especially if you have mobility issues.

There are several companies that make racks for tandems and trikes, as well as a system to help roll your bike into your vehicle.
