Custom Adaptive Bike Builds
The cycling industry rule of thumb is to fit the bike to the person, not the person to the bike. In some cases, a custom build may be necessary or desired to meet the special needs and comfort of the rider. All bikes should be built with safety as a priority.

Electric Assist
Many of the bikes listed here may be available with electric assist. Most adaptive bikes are larger and heavier than standard bicycles, the addition of electric assist provides the boost of power that riders may need to help carry the bike, themselves, and in some cases, an additional rider. Electric assist can improve the riding experience, save stress on joints and muscles, and for some riders, it may be the difference between riding and being inactive.
